Tiny wood workers Derby car

75 US dollars
507 East Shiawassee Street

Service Description

Racing wooden derby cars has been a thing kids have loved for so long. I remember building one as a kid in camp. This will be a little different because it wont be just a kit to assemble kids will decided the design and shape of their car. It can be based on making the car the fastest or it can be just because the student thinks it looks cool. We will use files, wrasp and other hand tools to shape our cars then attach the wheels. There will be a race track set up to try all the cars out at the end of class. As always there is time for kids to paint and personalize their finished project. There will 2 staff members and 6 kids in each class. This is not just for safety but also to ensure each child gets the attention they need to fully enjoy the experience. Guardians must stay within walking distance or on site but are encouraged to give their children space to build and make mistakes. If any students need help with the class fee please reach out to tinybitofwood@gmail.com we do not want financial barriers to stop people attend classes here.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds or move students to a different class time for scheduling conflicts . The number of people asking to move their reservations is simply too high that the school can not afford to accommodate this and still keep class fees affordable. We do occasionally have a waitlist for classes, if someone is able to take your place you can be refunded or moved to a different class. Feel free to ask but again this is not guaranteed. Alternatively if you can not make it to your scheduled class you can always find someone you know to take your place. If you would like to cancel your reservation, please email tinybitofwood@gmail.com with the subject line “Cancellation”. Thank you for understanding, Megan Shannon
