Wood-burning

Learn the art of wood-burning and leave with your own completed project

75 US dollars
507 East Shiawassee Street

Service Description

Learn the basic skills of the art of wood-burning by using a very affordable tool as well as a professional wood-burning pen. Several types of wood will be provided to experiment with and each student will pick an 8x10 wood canvas for their final project. I recommend coming with an 8 by 10-inch design that you want to use so you can spend the class time using the tools and not drawing. If you are having a hard time coming up with a design, I will have a few in-house drawings. We recommend a frame class add-on to learn how to make a wood frame for your wood-burning! This class is wheelchair accessible. Sitting workbenches available upon request. Deaf and hard-of-hearing friendly. Interpreter available upon request.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds or move students to a different class time for scheduling conflicts . The number of people asking to move their reservations is simply too high that the school can not afford to accommodate this and still keep class fees affordable. We do occasionally have a waitlist for classes, if someone is able to take your place you can be refunded or moved to a different class. Feel free to ask but again this is not guaranteed. Alternatively if you can not make it to your scheduled class you can always find someone you know to take your place. If you would like to cancel your reservation, please email tinybitofwood@gmail.com with the subject line “Cancellation”. Thank you for understanding, Megan Shannon
