Chainsaw 101
Chainsaw 101
Service Description
Want to learn how to safely operate and all the inner workings of a chainsaw? This is the class you for and just in time because winter is in the air. I think the best way to start learning about a machine is to take it apart and put it back together giving you a good base of understanding how the tool works. So we are going to do just that in this class. I will talk about what type of fuel to use, how to adjust the carb and what that even is, how to change the blade and tell when it needs to be sharpened. We will also go over all the different brands, sizes and what might be the right chainsaw for your use. I will bring all of my saws for this demonstration but if you have one you want to learn with please bring it with you. If you have a saw that isn’t running you can bring that to and we can see if we can get it all fixed up for you. I will have a small log in the parking lot that we can cut up to get more comfortable with using the tool but this is totally optional and know one has to do it if they don’t feel comfortable. All safety gear will be provided but you must come with good closed toed shoes and steel toe is preferred. Chainsaws are messy so make sure you wear close you wont mind getting some grease on. See you in class Meg

Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds or move students to a different class time for scheduling conflicts . The number of people asking to move their reservations is simply too high that the school can not afford to accommodate this and still keep class fees affordable. We do occasionally have a waitlist for classes, if someone is able to take your place you can be refunded or moved to a different class. Feel free to ask but again this is not guaranteed. Alternatively if you can not make it to your scheduled class you can always find someone you know to take your place. If you would like to cancel your reservation, please email tinybitofwood@gmail.com with the subject line “Cancellation”. Thank you for understanding, Megan Shannon
