Service Description

This is the follow up class to “Meat and Potatoes - the basics of hand tool woodworking” which is available every other month. You do not need to have taken this one first but is a great companion class to give you a really solid foundation to building. In this second round we will continue learning with a more in depth look on how to use Power tools and when to use which tool. How to draft up a design, build a concept and a cut list for your projects. Different methods to squaring up stock with limited tools and when to use solid wood or plywood. As well as paints, stains and finishes. When to use what sealant and how to apply. I’m very excited to offer this new Bread and Butter Course! Class will begin both days at 11am and end at 5pm, we will break for lunch from 1-2pm. Students are more than welcome to stay and eat lunch at the shop or pop over to LBC or the shuffle. All classes here a designed for beginners and everyone is welcome in this shop. I will be there to help with any step that a student might not feel comfortable completing. If any students need help with the class fee please reach out to tinybitofwood@gmail.com we do not want financial barriers to stop people from attending classes here.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds or move students to a different class time for scheduling conflicts . The number of people asking to move their reservations is simply too high that the school can not afford to accommodate this and still keep class fees affordable. We do occasionally have a waitlist for classes, if someone is able to take your place you can be refunded or moved to a different class. Feel free to ask but again this is not guaranteed. Alternatively if you can not make it to your scheduled class you can always find someone you know to take your place. If you would like to cancel your reservation, please email tinybitofwood@gmail.com with the subject line “Cancellation”. Thank you for understanding, Megan Shannon
